An interesting Courtship Ritual is the Widow Carry. Although by virtue of its name, it would appear to be a variation on the Husband
Race found in the MacThoy Games, the two have little in common.
The
Husband Race was about again the
mate home after the marriage, whereas
the Widow Carry was an important part
of the Courtship process.
