The Familists or Family of Love were followers of Henry Niclae in Munster who borrowed from the Clan MacThoy's Clerics of Luv the idea that Heaven & Hell were found in the world and that people might reclaim the innocence found in Eden.

Chronicles of the day describe the Clan as being rampant in the local forests were masterless men often dwelled

So many  naughty and idle persons dwel there and breed the spawn of vagabonds and rogues of very lewd lives and conversations.

In 1517, the Clan was involved in a Papal Indulgences counterfeiting ring.  The scheme was uncovered by Martin Luther in Saxony, but not before eight Public Houses and three Houses of Ill Fame had been constructed and dedicated in His Holiness' name.
